Concepts and research skills in the environmental and marine sciences. Major concepts pertaining to species distributions, population growth and regulation, diversity, species interactions, species and ocean conservation, and anthropogenic impacts on marine ecosystems. Lab incorporated lab and field experiments to test concepts learned in lecture that taught students real methodologies used in the marine sciences. Students also worked in smaller groups on an original research project resulting in a research paper and presentation.
